Work that wears on the body
If your living depends on your hands and your back, pain is more than a nuisance. This page is for people such as:
- Construction workers, electricians, plumbers, roofers and landscapers
- Mechanics and technicians
- Hair stylists and barbers
- Dental hygienists and dental assistants
- Warehouse, delivery and restaurant workers
People in these jobs commonly seek care for:
- Low back pain and sciatica from lifting and bending
- Shoulder pain from overhead work
- Elbow pain from gripping and tool use
- Carpal tunnel symptoms from repetitive hand work and vibration
- Neck pain from looking up or down for hours
- Knee pain from kneeling, squatting and climbing ladders
How care works here
We look for the reason the problem keeps returning, not only where it hurts. Depending on what we find, your care may include:
- Chiropractic care for the spine and for shoulders, elbows, wrists and knees
- Class IV laser therapy, commonly used for carpal tunnel, sprains and joint pain
- Shockwave therapy, which patients commonly seek for stubborn tendon pain
- Deep tissue massage for overworked muscles
- Neuromuscular re-education to change how you lift, reach and grip
Staying on the job
Many people keep working while they are in care. Your provider will tell you if anything should be limited for a while and how to build back up.
Paying for care
Natural Healing of Tampa Bay is a self-pay practice with posted prices. For adults, the new patient visit is $325 and includes the first adjustment. Neck X-rays are $35 and follow-up visits are $100. See fees and payment.

Frequently asked questions
Can I keep working during care?
Often, yes. Your provider will tell you if a task should be limited for a while.
My hands go numb at night. Is that carpal tunnel?
It may be. Numbness in the thumb and first three fingers that is worse at night is a common pattern. The neck can cause similar symptoms, so both are evaluated. See carpal tunnel.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can schedule directly.
How many visits will I need?
It varies with the problem and how long you have had it. You will get an estimate at your evaluation.
