Who we see
Tampa Bay is a military community. MacDill Air Force Base is home to U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command, and tens of thousands of retirees and veterans live across Hillsborough County. Our patients include:
- Active-duty, Guard and Reserve members
- Military retirees and veterans of every branch
- Spouses and family members
- DoD civilians and contractors
What service does to the body
Years of carrying a ruck, wearing body armor and a helmet, making parachute landings, riding in vehicles and aircraft, and working long shifts at a desk or in an operations center all load the neck and spine. Many people leave the service with problems they simply learned to live with.
Service members, veterans and their families commonly come to us for:
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Low back pain and sciatica
- Headaches and migraines
- Dizziness and balance problems
- Jaw pain
- Shoulder, knee and elbow pain
- Numbness and tingling in the hands or feet
If you have a history of concussion or traumatic brain injury, tell us at your first visit. We take it into account in your exam and work alongside your medical providers.
How care works here
Every plan starts with an evaluation, so recommendations fit you, not a template. Depending on what we find, your care may include:
- Upper cervical care with Advanced Orthogonal instrument adjustments. No twisting or cracking of the neck.
- Chiropractic care for the spine, shoulders, knees, ankles and wrists
- Class IV laser therapy and shockwave therapy
- Massage and movement retraining
The aim is to get you well in as few visits as possible. Results vary from person to person, and no outcome is promised.
Paying for care: TRICARE, the VA and self-pay
TRICARE. TRICARE does not cover chiropractic care for retirees, family members or survivors. Active-duty members are covered only at designated military hospitals and clinics. For most of the military community, chiropractic care is paid out of pocket wherever it is received.
The VA. The VA covers chiropractic care at VA facilities. It covers care at community providers only when the VA approves it first and the provider is in its network. Ask your VA care team about your options.
Here. Natural Healing of Tampa Bay is a self-pay practice with posted prices. The new patient visit is $325 for adults and includes the first adjustment. See fees and payment and your right to a Good Faith Estimate.
