Holistic Chiropractic & Whole-Body Wellness in Tampa and Brandon

Chiropractic care that looks at the whole person: structure, movement, lifestyle and recovery.

In short: Natural Healing of Tampa Bay takes a whole-person approach. Each plan starts with an evaluation and may combine chiropractic care, upper cervical care, non-invasive therapies, massage and nutrition support, when they are appropriate for you. Not every patient needs every service.

What does holistic chiropractic mean?

Pain rarely has a single cause. A sore low back can involve the hips, the way you sit at work, how well you recover between workouts and how you sleep. Holistic chiropractic means the evaluation looks beyond the painful area to the things that feed it:

  • Structure. How the spine and other joints are positioned and how they move
  • Function. How muscles and nerves control that movement
  • Lifestyle. Work, activity, sleep and stress
  • Nutrition and recovery. What helps or slows healing between visits

Chiropractic care is hands-on and non-invasive. It does not involve medication or surgery, which is what many people mean when they look for natural pain relief. No outcome is promised, and results vary from person to person.

Dr. Lambert’s whole-body approach

Dr. Heath Lambert, DC, starts with a structural evaluation, with particular attention to the upper cervical spine at the top of the neck. From there he chooses the techniques that fit the person. There is no single routine that every patient gets.

The practice follows a simple order: restore proper joint position and movement first, then retrain the muscles to hold it. Our approach page explains that reasoning in more detail.

Dr. Lambert is a chiropractic physician, not a medical doctor. If your history or exam points to something that needs a physician, dentist or specialist, we will tell you.

Services that may be part of a Get Well Plan

A plan draws only on what your evaluation calls for. It may include one or several of these:

In Tampa, care includes chiropractic care, upper cervical care with Torque Release Technique and NUCCA, and neuromuscular re-education. Advanced Orthogonal adjustments, laser, shockwave and massage are at the Brandon office.

The Get Well Plan

Every patient gets an individual plan. It follows the same steps:

  1. Evaluation. Your history, your goals and an exam, with neck X-rays when appropriate.
  2. Findings. What the exam shows, explained in plain language.
  3. Recommended services. Which care fits, how often, and what it costs.
  4. Home and lifestyle recommendations. Movement, recovery or nutrition suggestions, where they apply.
  5. Progress tracking. How you respond is checked as care goes on.
  6. Reassessment. The plan is adjusted as you respond.

The aim is to get you well in as few visits as possible.

Frequently asked questions

What is holistic chiropractic?

It is chiropractic care that looks at the whole person instead of one painful spot. The evaluation considers how you move, how your joints and muscles work together, and factors such as activity, sleep, nutrition and recovery.

How is holistic chiropractic different from traditional chiropractic?

The adjustment is one part of the plan, not all of it. Depending on your evaluation, care here may also include upper cervical care, movement retraining, laser or shockwave therapy, massage and nutrition support.

Does holistic care include nutrition?

It can. Nutrition care can include a consultation, dietary guidance, supplement recommendations and muscle testing to help choose supplements. Dr. Lambert also reviews your lab work with you. Supplements are available through the practice’s online store. See nutrition and supplements.

Does every patient receive the same treatment?

No. Recommendations depend on your evaluation. Most patients need only some of the services listed on this page.

Can upper cervical care be part of a holistic plan?

Yes. Dr. Lambert’s professional focus is the upper cervical spine, and it is often where an evaluation starts. Advanced Orthogonal instrument adjustments are done at the Brandon office. See upper cervical chiropractic.

What happens during the first visit?

You review your history and goals, have an exam, and go over the findings and a recommended plan. For adults, the new patient visit is $325 and includes the first adjustment. See new patients.

Do you offer holistic chiropractic in Tampa and Brandon?

Yes. The same whole-body approach applies at both offices. Tampa is open on Mondays and Brandon Monday through Thursday. Advanced Orthogonal instrument adjustments, laser, shockwave and massage are provided at the Brandon office.

Is Dr. Lambert a medical doctor?

No. Dr. Lambert is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), licensed in Florida as a chiropractic physician. He is not a medical doctor and does not prescribe medication. Care here is in addition to the care you get from your physician. It does not replace it.
